About Us

Hi, I’m Kelli. I’ve spent more than two decades working hands-on with animals here in Oklahoma City. I’ve worked in daycare yards, shelter kennels, vet clinics, and the living rooms of the families I care for today. Kelli’s Dog Days grew out of a simple belief I’ve carried through every one of those jobs: animals do best when their days are full of real enrichment. A dog needs more than a clean kennel and a bowl of food.

My career started in 2005 at Central Park Doggie Daycare, where I spent nearly nine years as Yard Manager and Shift Leader. I learned to read a pack of dogs at a glance and keep playtime safe. I also learned how much trust it takes for someone to hand you the leash of a dog they love. From there, I joined the Central Oklahoma Humane Society as an Animal Care Assistant. I cared for dogs and cats coming in through intake, assisted with vaccines and wellness checks, and trained volunteers. I also helped in the in-house veterinary clinic alongside vets and vet techs.

In 2011, I earned my Dog Training Certification from Animal Behavioral College, and I’ve been putting it to work ever since. I did one-on-one training at 9th Street Barking Lot, behavior modification with Sweet Paws Animal Rescue, and most recently, behavior assessments as Placement Coordinator for Oklahoma City Animal Welfare. In that role, I helped match shelter animals with transfer partners so they could find their way home.

I’ve also opened my own home to animals in need. Over the years, I’ve fostered dozens of dogs and cats for OK Humane and Sweet Paws. Today I foster dogs and neonatal kittens for OKC Animal Welfare, bottle babies included.

I started Kelli’s Dog Days in 2017. Whether I’m leading a Dog Social Hour, checking in on your bearded dragon, or keeping your senior dog’s routine right on schedule while you’re away, I bring the same care I’ve given every animal I’ve met. Your pets stay where they’re happiest, at home, with someone who truly gets them.
